Cornish Crabber 22 – Part 2

Here are photos of a beautiful Cornish Crabber for sale at Burnham Yacht Harbour. I featured a similar one at the same location last January*.

Crabber 22 yachts are very sturdily built and they are equipped with top quality fittings. Unlike many fibreglass yachts they have bags of character derived from traditional working boats. The hull has firm bilges, an upright stem, a moderately fine underwater entry, sweetly flowing lines to an angled, transversely curved transom above a deep skeg for directional stability. The skeg provides a strong mounting for the base of the rudder and protects the hull when the boat takes to the ground.  Her gaff cutter rig with canting bowsprit and furling foresails makes for easy handling. This particular boat comes with a road trailer, and in 2013 she was fitted with a Yanmar 2YM15 diesel engine. Unusually she has a pushpit, stanchions and guard wires.

The asking price is £33,950, which is £19,500 more than the one for sale in January, but the latter did not have a road trailer. A new Crabber 22 will set you back £67,000!
