Brough Superior SS 100

About 10 months ago I did an article about a Harley Davidson Softail Classic motorcycle. * I happened to come across the bike when out walking. Last Saturday I had a rare opportunity of seeing a Brough Superior SS100, similar to the one Lawrence of Arabia crashed causing his tragic death on 13th May, 1935. I couldn’t resist taking photos of the bike with my iPhone 3G which I happened to have to hand. If I had used my Sony Cyber-shot camera the photos would have been of better quality.

Steve,

Thanks for the Daily Mail clip. I doubt the owner of the bike I photographed would want to sell his.

I think he sees it as part of savings for his pension, including other classic bikes in his possession.

Cheers,
Bill.

too bad our obsessions about boats can't also be viewed as pension savings , eh?

Unknown,

The problem is that boats don't always sell, whereas a Brough Superior SS100 always has a buyer.

Cheers,
Bill.
