D-Day Anniversary

Here’s a selection of short videos made from archive film footage of the D-Day landings. They give us an inkling of what happened on 6th June, 1944 when allied forces established beachheads for the disembarkation of the largest seaborne invasion in history. (See yesterday’s blog.)

Seventy years on we can look back and be thankful for the liberty we have because of the great sacrifices made by those who gave their lives and by those who suffered injuries and those who played whatever part.
