Contessa 26 at Burnham-on-Crouch

I have always liked Contessa 26s since first seeing one in the late 1960s. Over 250 of these Jeremy Rogers designed yachts were built at the Rogers Boat Yard, Lymington, between 1966 and 1977. Over 400 have been built in Toronto, Canada, at the yard of J. J. Taylor & Sons Ltd, where production ceased in 1990.

Lovely looking boat with beautiful lines, but that keel is a bugger! :o)

She's a lovely boat!
I had the privilege of sailing with her new skipper around to Brightlingsea and back. She sails like a dream.
The long keel may be a b****r when you run aground, but for the rest of the time it's exactly what a boat needs.
