Just over two years I was in Chichester Harbour aboard ‘Ladybird’.
She was anchored off East Head when a flotilla of dinghies crewed by youngsters
arrived on the scene. They carried out a number of manoeuvres, including sailing
different courses relative to the wind, reefing, beaching their boats and
anchoring off for lunch. I was impressed
with the way their CYE* Sailing Centre instructors supervised and managed them.
Most of the under-mentioned URLs come from my old Small
