First coat of paint on the decksThere’s very little to say about the continuing saga of building the boat, other than that today I gave ‘Sharpy’s’ spars a third coat of varnish, and the coamings a second one. I also painted her decks with an off-white undercoat.
A friend examined the wheel bearings of the boat’s road trailer and confirmed they will have to be replaced. He could not change them because the ones he had brought to replace them with are metric, but the trailer bearings are Imperial! At least, we know what is required, and my friend can get the bits.
