I have found a few monochrome photos of yachts and barges that once were based at Burnham-on-Crouch in the early 1900s.
She’s a 60’ wooden yacht from the board of Norman E.
Dallimore built by King, William and Sons of Burnham in 1937. She has a carvel
hull of teak planking on oak frames, and as far as I know she was converted
from being a cutter to a ketch in 1965.
‘Providence’
38’ ‘Providence’ was built by Gilbert and Pascoe at
Porthlevan in 1934 with pitch pine on oak carvel construction. She carries a 10’
bowsprit and displaces 11.08 tons.
‘Cygnet’
She’s a half-size wooden Thames barge built in 1881 by Curel
at Findsbury.
