Thanks everyone for your support and encouragement. Family
and friends have responded to yesterday’s post by suggesting I should take time
before making a decision about stopping solo sailing.
‘Minnow’ is Bristol fashion, tucked away in her boathouse,
awaiting her next sail, but her skipper must decide what action to take. An
honest assessment of the facts requires a reasoned response. The boat is good,
but what are the strengths and weaknesses of the one at the helm? Safety is paramount;
enjoyment by doing and achieving comes next. Will and desire must play their part,
but emotions and feelings must be excluded from the equation.
I can afford to take time for careful reflection. There is
no hurry or pressing need.
